Wow! It’s already Christmas! This is our first Christmas in Maryland, and we won’t have any snow! It seems as though every time it snows, the rain comes and melts it. It might not be a white one, but it will be warmer that we envisioned Maryland to be! I finished my first semester of graduate school! Many hours were spent practicing and glued to the computer (you can ask Jonathan!) but it was very rewarding. I had so much fun playing in orchestra and practicing hard for lessons every day. This is what I’ve wanted to do! I am so thankful that I have this opportunity.
Jonathan is working at Borders in DC which makes quite a long Metro commute. He enjoys his work and the people on his shift. He recently was given domain in the multimedia section! We are hoping that his boss is testing him for entry management… We have a new addition to our family. If you haven’t seen the photos, we’ve had a baby girl! She’s ten weeks old now and eating Sapphira’s food. Ok, so we adopted her from Petsmart and named her Chani (from Herbert’s Dune). She and Sapphy are slowly becoming friends. Chani likes to find my favorite sports socks, go tearing around the apartment with them and then shred them with her little razor sharp teeth and claws. Although we will not be able to be spending Christmas Day in California, we will be able to visit early January. It’ll be a challenge trying to see everyone in a few days! We are very excited to see friends and family again. We miss you all and look forward to reconnecting!
Love,
Katrina & Jonathan
