It’s Fall!
It’s a beautiful crisp fall season here in Maryland! The leaves are starting to turn color and I am ready for hot cocoa and bundling up on the couch with a book. It’s hard to stay focused!
Jonathan is working hard balancing work, school and family. No matter what small detail I am stressed about he is loving and supportive. I am so thankful. Last week he attended a small convention and symposium on digital libraries at the University of Maryland. He really enjoyed it and had several things to enlighten me with!
I am teaching flute lessons at two private high schools in Maryland and have several students of my own. It has been a huge job and it is really rewarding learning all the different personalities! Last month I also auditioned for several orchestras in the area. Thank you for your support and prayers. Even though it was stressful, it was a great experience to go through. I have found that in order to simulate your body’s response to that kind of stress, you must do about 30 jumping jacks to get your heart rate going then try to play a soft sustained passage. Your heart and lungs are just screaming for attention while you have to focus on the music. What a challenge.
We are looking forward to visiting California for Christmas time. I hope that posts are more frequent–keep emailing us!
