Good things going on around here.
I can’t see my toes anymore…so I painted them bright pink so that I would notice them when I lean over! Today was the first day that I could actually SEE the baby kicking through my clothes. Weird. It feels more real somehow, seeing her in my body than watching a sonogram. Somehow, it’s hard to convince myself that the sonogram is not a
movie!
I have a couple of auditions coming up, so my practicing is getting back on track. I have also taken on more students in a nearby city! I have been strugging trying to figure out what the balance of work and baby will be. Please keep me in your prayers!

We had our sixth month appointment last week. We had several screenings done and we are thankful that we are negative for Spina bifida and very low probability for other diseases and conditions! We are very thankful!
In our photo gallery, you will see our six month sonogram. She was not cooperating so most of what you see is the placenta. We were however, very happy to have our doctor confirm what the sonogram technician found last month–in fact we are having a girl!
Thanks again for the wonderful gifts from the shower and in the mail! I have added more photos shower to the gallery.
Yes, all you women, I am showing now! I haven’t had strangers come up to me in the supermarket to rub my belly yet…I know it’s coming. I feel really blotted and skin stretching already and I am sure that it will get worse.
Jonathan is working very hard. I am sure that he feels completely pulled in all directions. Classes are back in session, he’s working full time and trying to keep up with me as I have dozens of projects to do together. I am becoming more emotional too! What a precursor of things to come!

Right before we boarded a plane to visit family, we found out in a quick sonogram that we are having a girl! We are very excited and now I feel as if I can truly begin to “nest” around our place. It won’t be long now–we are halfway through our pregnancy. As usual, we have new sonograms in our gallery. They are not as good and look a bit scarier than the last, but that is because she is developing bone rather than cartilage. She still looks beautiful in a strange way to us!
Last night was the first night Jonathan was able to feel Baby move! She was kicking in both directions, hitting my bladder and outside uterus wall. It was an amazing moment! Although I think that for Jonathan it was more reminiscent of the famous scene from “Alien”!
