She’s here!
Hi everyone! Just a quick note to let you know how we’re doing.
At 11:30am yesterday (May 24) Katrina checked herself into the hospital, I joined her a short while later… and at 4:38pm we had a baby girl! Her name is Aliyah Helen Smith. (AH-lee-yah) She is beautiful! 7 lbs. 10 oz. and 19.5 inches long. Shes very healthy and pink! Lots of brown hair and chubby cheeks. There were no complications at all. Mommy and baby are still recovering at the hospital and we expect to be home tomorrow.
In the next few days I’ll get pics and more details up so stay tuned.
Thank you for all of your prayer and support and well-wishes! I’m sorry we haven’t had time to respond to phone calls and emails, we will soon.

I am so excited. I heard the news yesterday. Congratulations! I can’t wait to see pictures. I am glad to hear Mom and baby are doing well. Beautiful name too…glad the secret is finally out. Many blessings!

Congratulations to the new Mom and Dad… and welcome little Aliyah. Yes, a very pretty name indeed. Maria informed us via email before and after the fact, so we knew when everything was in progress. Perfcet all went well and both are healthy. Look forward to the many, many pictures that I’m sure will be posted. And oh yes, it’s nice to know we have another little SF Giants fan in the family, bring her up right! haha More later.

This Auntie wants to see her niece!!!! I’m so thrilled for you two! You are going to be awesome parents. I love all 3 of you & can’t wait to meet Aliyah!!! I tell you its hard being this far from you guys! Yeah, Jared’s going to be the uncle that brings the shot gun over whenever Aliyah brings home a guy (he’s talking about it already)

I was trying to catch up on my emails and Patricia had sent me your website. I lost it when I switched to my new computer. Now I can actually see all the pictures and Aliyah is beautiful! What a journey you have ahead — full of life and love and joy and amazement. I’m just thrilled for you. and what a way to start with classical music. Way to go!
