No longer a newborn…now a big girl!
We celebrated Aliyah’s three-month birthday last week with brownies with pink sprinkles; well her parents did anyways. She is no longer considered a newborn now. We are enjoying lots of new discoveries everyday. She loves female vocalists (Mommy included!) but her favorite is jazz. She loves seeing the light through the trees on our walks. Her newest favorite game involves Mom leaning over her and tickling her face with my hair. Every day she is getting more vocal! We sure have a talker!
On the non-baby related items in our life: Jonathan is back at school taking only one graduate course while working full-time. This is a change of our plans, but will be much better for family time. He is working hard and then comes home and enjoys being a father! (both the positive and negative!)
Two weekends ago, I performed in a great concert by a chamber orchestra called inscape. It’s great to be playing again especially with these musicians. If you are a DC local, check them out! inscapechambermusicproject/
The next concert is October 8 at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, Bethesda, Maryland.
We are making our annual pilgramage to California for Thanksgiving this year. We hope to see as many of our family members as we can!

Hi, congratulations on the first three months, you made it! Excellent that Aliyah is progressing and growing as she should be. School, work, and baby is definitely a FULL plate. I have a feeling that the East Coast has become your permanent home; you both have become pretty established and continue to do so. I did check out all your new pictures last week when I had visited the site. Have a good visit when you come back home to California. Of course, California will always be home #1.

Hi Aunt Nina~
I hope that East coast doesn’t come our permanent home! That is totally against our hearts. We both need big cities for our jobs, but there are those on the western seaboard! We’ll have to see where the music degree takes us.
