More fun…
After writing this post the other night, we had more spit-up fun. I am sure that you parents have experienced this, but this morning there was so much in my hair that I could hear it dripping on the carpet behind me. Only a few moments later it was snot out the nose all over her face and my hand. I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry…so I smiled and wiped myself off and smelled like baby till my shower.
I do love being a mom!

Ah, the joys of being a parent! 8^)
Have you also discovered:
~ Spit-up always happens when all the spit-up cloths are in the laundry!
~ “Letdown” occurs at the weirdest times?
~ When you’re getting ready to go somewhere, and your running late, that the later your running, the greater the chances are that you’ll have to change her diaper?
~ And if you’re REALLY running late, that diaper will be #2?
~ A little early for this one, but beware, it’s coming: The chances of baby’s toast landing jelly-side down on the floor is directly proportional to how long ago the floor was mopped!!
~ Another one that’s a little ways away, but it’s coming too: Backing the car out of the driveway makes a toddler have to go to the bathroom, especially if you’re late!
None of this is really apparent until you are one, eh? 8^)

and THAT’s why I am NOT looking foward to being a mommy (& the whole child-birth thing freaks me out, ucky! ouchy!!!!). . . once they’re past throwing up on you all the time and they’re potty trained I could take over. Scrapped up knees & mud being tracked in I can handle . . . .
Guess you’ve got to be somebody special to be a good parent! (good luck!)

Spit up or no spit up, drool or snot… she is precious… treasure it.

Sounds like you’ve been through it too Russ!! Sooo true.
Well put Jessica. Despite all the ‘nasties,’ nothing can tarnish the beauty of having a loving and healthy baby. God is so good.

I never said she wasn’t precious, it’s just that almost everyone I know thinks that throw-up & when they drool is cute. Personally, I think it’s gross & messy . . . that does not mean I don’t value babbies!
