(qu)ACK! (qu)ACK!

Posted in Uncategorized at 9:39 am by Katrina

Around our place we are hearing a funny noise. Aliyah’s bathtub is an inflatable duck that quacks, so every bath time, we come into the bathroom and I start quacking. She gets so excited. This week however, she took it to another level when she started quacking at Jonathan! It is an unusual quack–more like “KACK, KACK, KACK!” Funny noise, especially full baby volume in the middle of Macy’s!

Jonathan’s parents were here this week and had a fabulous time seeing the sites, but more importantly hanging out with Aliyah. She warmed up to both of them very quickly. Nana and Papa were both flattered that she felt comfortable in their arms and wrestling on the floor with them.

Aliyah is working on standing by herself now. She can do it, but then tires quickly and collapses.
It won’t be long now and we’ll really need several baby gates!

Enjoy your weather, where ever you are in the country now. We are SICK of winter weather here…rain, wind and temperatures in the 40s. I had to bring out Aliyah’s warm clothes that I thought that we were through with!

Yay for quacking!! Maybe we should send you a bunch of ducks to create your own duck bathroom for Aliyah!

It’s endless Katrina, a million more things you are yet to discover, document, and comment on throughout her life if you keep this website up. Wait until she is in school and then the inevitable Junior-High and teenage years. You think this first year is monumental, oh boy … lots more for you down the road. Enough said, year 1 complete, year 2 on the horizon …
