For those who know me, know that I am not into torturing Aliyah…with that said sometimes her crying is funny! My Moms’ group at National Community Church were celebrating Aliyah and her friend Caedmon’s birthdays in a park. We wanted to get a group picture of the babies, but they didn’t think that it was such a good idea.
Aliyah is the one on the far right in purple. Check out baby Grace in the middle who couldn’t care more about the mayhem around her!
What a Memorial Weekend it was for us! On Saturday we had Aliyah’s first birthday party! We had it in a school park and playground in University Park, MD. I really tried not to be a “soccer mom” abut it–tried to keep it low key because I know that she’ll never remember it. It was fun to throw a party for us then!! We had great people come out from the Life, the NCC Mom’s group and a few old friends, but everyone will tell you that it was mostly a baby party.
We tried to do a sing time with the 4-5 babies, but it was close to the end of the party and they were not having ANY of it!
Aliyah had her first taste of cake! She got so overwhelmed (by the attention??) that she just started howling.
As soon as Dad helped her taste cake and how to eat it herself, she was a happy girl!
It was a fun day–just a good thing that it was only two hours. I think we all needed a nap! Thanks to those who came out to celebrate with us! You made it a happy day.
