“Ah-yah’s” first phrase
Aliyah loves when the whole family is together. She was so inspired that she said her first phrase! Pointing to each on of us in turn, she exclaimed “Mommy, Daddy, Ah-yah!”
Not only an accomplishment for saying a phrase, it’s the first time she’s said her own name. She’s developing her own identity outside her parents. She has her own things; She points to her cup or bowl and says “Ah-yah,” then turn to my plate and says “Mommy.”

For some reason, this just brings tears to my eyes! I can’t believe that little tiny baby I knew is a real toddler now and talking and even knows who she is! its just so cool..

This makes sense to me now! When i was on the phone w/Jonathan the other day he put her on the phone & i heard her say daddy then say Ah-yah, I now see she was saying her name! thats exciting!
