Yes, it’s cold here. We haven’t gotten out today but when we do it’s supposed to be in the teens for the high. We’ll be going to IKEA and maybe to the grocery store. Yes, actually it will be fun to do these things as a family.
I finished my first DMA auditions this weekend and doing another this Saturday. Thanks for your prayers — our family needs the guidance!
I finally got more photos up… sorry it took so long. Check them out here.
One of my good friends Lauren came up with a great place for kids to run around when we can’t be out in the cold weather. Several moms and kids went to the National Building Museum last month. We were fortunate to go during the week and there was plenty of places for our kids to run around, build with giant soft legos, and learn about light switches and door knobs!
Aliyah and Grace goof off in front of the discovery house. It had plexiglass walls inside so they could see the electrical wiring and insulation.
December was packed with great family stuff. So I will catch you up in segments.
Graduation Celebration
On December 13, Jonathan submitted his final paper. Like the final one of his graduate career. (I was so excited…till he told me that he was interested in going back “sometime” to get another masters. I guess we are both academic addicts. Is that why we don’t own a house?) So like I said, on December 11 Jonathan submitted his final paper. On December 14, we celebrated by taking a surprise family vacation! The Castanedas, who are old college friends, flew us out to see their new home and baby in Colorado. We had a great time going to a Denver Avalanche Hockey game, playing games and even did a local brewery.
A farm near their home in Longmont.
Here we are in front of the hotel that inspired Stephen King’s book The Shining.
