So we were brushing our teeth the other night and noticed a whiteish, greenish thing growing out of our bathroom sink drain.
Yuck. So Jonathan’s fatherly protective side attacked this little growing thing. It was a three inch bean sprout. Aliyah has been playing with navy and pinto beans for the last few weeks and apparently one had been dropped into the sink, took root and sprouted right in the fertile soil of our drain. Given the sickly whiteish color, I think it was a navy bean–or maybe that was due to growing in florescent light.
No, there are no pictures of this excitement.

So it’s been a few weeks since Aliyah turned two years old, but I still have to make sure that the blog is up-to-date (or at least getting closer)

My sister Alyssa and her sweetheart Jordan are now married! We flew to the wedding in California end of May. Aliyah was one of three flowergirls and was hauled down the aisle in a red wagon! There are lots of photos on our gallery. I am working on the photos from Aliyah’s birthday too.

May has been so great…and so busy. Instead of writing a blog, I think I may just tell the story in photos. I know there are a few CA family members who want more pictures; check them out here.
Aliyah’s first haircut in preparation for her honor as a flower girl in Aunt Lyssie’s wedding.
Jonathan’s family came out to celebrate his graduation in DC!
Then we flew to California for Alyssa’s wedding, Aliyah’s 2nd birthday party and our Seventh Wedding Anniversary. That will be another post!
